1950 Dodge Wayfarer Convertible Coupe

When Cecil and Julia McKay were married they owned a 1950 Dodge Wayfarer and on their 50th anniversary in 2006, they drove this grandly-restored Wayfarer – also a classic 1950 model. In addition to body work, new paint, new interior and mechanical repairs this Wayfarer’s original engine, a 230 ci Flathead Six, was completely rebuilt. The McKays have won many awards with this imposing beauty. They drive the Wayfarer in parades, car shows and cruise-ins and it is often requested for weddings, anniversary celebrations and school reunions. But the car may be appreciated the most during the annual Nursing Home Tour the McKay’s enjoy each year on Father’s Day weekend.
