1956 Chevrolet Corvette |
|

Owner: Wayne C. Ausherman
Location: Frederick, MD
This rare 1956 Corvette was beautifully restored to its original look yet has the amenities of a new Corvette, making it a joy for owner Wayne C. Ausherman who will “drive it anywhere.” The first Corvette was produced by General Motors in 1953 – so Wayne’s 1956 is one of the earliest classics of its kind. The car is road-ready again with Jim Meyer Racing front and rear suspension and a remanufactured nine-inch Ford .355 posi differential from Jasper Engines & Transmissions. The restoration also included new four-wheel disc brakes, rac & pinion steering, coil over shocks, power windows and vintage heating and A/C. Wayne turns heads when he and his ’56 Corvette show up at weekend car shows and cruise-ins.
