Core - the worn out used engine. Usually when you have a remanufactured engine installed there will be a core deposit required that will be refunded after your worn out used engine is returned.
Head - the upper part of the engine. Air and fuel come into engines through the cylinder head and exhaust gases leave engines through the head.
Piston - a larger cylindrical part that moves inside the engine block during operation. It is one of the main automotive parts in the operation of the engine.
Seal - a gasket or sealing compound that prevents lubricant from passing through the space between two engine parts.
Rebuilt - refers to the process of reconditioning your worn out used engine to meet original new equipment standards and specifications or better.
Remanufactured - refers to the process of reconditioning a worn out used engine or "core" engine to meet original new equipment standards and specifications or better.
Repower - the replacing of your old worn out used engine with a remanufactured/rebuilt engine.
Original Equipment - refers to the vehicle manufacturer’s new car or truck engine and automotive parts.
Related Components - the automotive parts that usually are not supplied with a rebuilt/remanufactured engine; such as fuel injectors, sensors, filters, belts and hoses.
Used Engine - an engine that has been removed from a vehicle that was taken to a junk yard.
